During our last trip to Houston visiting family we had the opportunity to squeeze in a little engagement shoot goodness with two of our faves, Brittany and David!  David just happens to be my (Tammy’s) brother so it equaled even more awesomeness.  Brittany and David are loads of fun to be around and we wish we didn’t live so far apart so we could all hang more and beat them in games.:)  We’re proud of these two as they take over the theatre department at their school with David being the head lighting designer & Brittany a phenomenal dancer.  We’re excited for Brittany and David getting hitched this year & look forward to having Brittany as part of the fam!!

Not sure there are adequate words to express the fulfillment one feels after serving at a Help-Portrait event. The countless faces that all have a name and a story tug on your inner heart strings. Help-Portrait is a worldwide event of photographers, make up artists, stylists and anyone and everyone giving their time, talents and donations to help people in need. Bringing people hope through a photo, loving on them and listening to their stories is nothing short of…Beautiful. Powerful. Life-changing. Hearing people’s stories of starting a new life, gaining custody of their children again, getting off drugs and how the Help-Portrait event put a smile on their face and gave them a sense of dignity is overwhelmingly awesome.  Through giving, you receive back so much more than you could have ever dreamed of.  It all started with an idea by celebrity photographer Jeremy Cowart for photographers to give back to the local community by finding someone in need, taking their portrait and giving them that portrait. Malibu weddings are our new craze! We could definitely get used to driving down the scenic PCH from the getting ready location of Santa Monica to the Malibu shores. The ridiculous backdrop of the beach, amazing clouds plus waves crashing onto the cliffs and shore only gets more awesome when you mix in friends getting married. We were thrilled to get to shoot Eric & Susanne’s barefoot on the beach wedding at Point Dume in Northwestern Malibu. Eric has been a long-time friend of David’s since the good ole’ Teen Mania TX days. It was a warm reunion when Eric, David and their bud Jonathan were together again. They all do not lack for adventure that’s for sure. Eric and Jonathan sailed across the Atlantic and then biked through Europe for a summer. Eric has been in Hollywood the past couple years working as a director of photography where he met the girl of his dreams, the beautiful producer on set, Susanne. We couldn’t be happier that Eric and Susanne were tying the knot. Susanne was a stunning bride with such a sweet spirit. These two are amazing together and have the most adorable little son Jackson who may have stolen the show that day with his endless smiles and giggles.

Eric & Susanne – Thank you for having us shoot your awesome wedding!! It was a pleasure to get to celebrate your special day with you and your lovely families. Hope you had a fabulous time on your honeymoon in Kauai. We wish you two the very best and can’t wait til when we can all hang in California. Much love from us!

Our smiles stretch from ear to ear at the thought of Audra and Cory.  They are seriously the sweetest most genuine couple you’ll ever meet. Their tender and pure love for each other is a beautiful portrait of marriage. Even we could not escape the warmth of joyful tears when they expressed their deepest pledge of commitment to honor and love one another as they read their handwritten vows.  These two passionately love God and out of that, their love for each other overflows. We appreciate how Audra and Cory value their family and friends and treasure each moment spent with them.  What fabulous families they come from!  Now we know where they get their good looks.;)  Audra was an absolutely stunning bride and Cory was quite the prince charming.  They are too cute together!! Oh and we loved how Audra blended her TX heritage and Nashvilleness well by proudly sporting her awesome cowgirl boots!  What an incredible celebration and memorable day.  The folks at Cedarwood did an epic job of making this country fairytale wedding a beautiful masterpiece!
