I don’t typically shoot weddings but when my friend Steadman was telling me about his amazing bride, and the stunning wedding they were planning in South Georgia, I new I had come out of retirement for this one!
Starting out the day getting a birdie on the last hole of golf with his Groomsmen and winning the round by a landslide, Steadman was presented with a gift from April, his bride to be. To his surprise he opened up a package revealing the exact Rolex watch of his dreams!
The very watch that he had on his vision board to save up for to purchase someday in the future. April started it off perfectly with a gift that couldn’t have possibly been more thoughtly planned out.
That is exactly how the wedding went. Every detail from the flowers, to the dresses to the scheduled flow of the day was so well thought through that it all was pulled off without a hitch.
April and Steadman said their vows at the illustrious Calloway Gardens… which might as well as been the Garden of Eden!
Actually they didn’t just say their vows, instead of the typical groom who studders “I Do”, Steadman practically startled the entire ceremony out of their seats when he screamed at the top of his lungs… “I WILLLLL!!!”
Perhaps one of the most special things about the wedding is that April’s parents were married at the same chapel in Calloway Gardens where we took many of the photos.
The rain eventually started falling but the groom carefully found a window of time between rain showers to have the ceremony outside on a serene bridge.
The timing couldn’t have been more perfect because just moments after the couple exited the rain starting pouring as the guests rushed off the bridge.
Followed by a stunning reception, dance party and heart-wrenching speeches. I’m honored to have been a part of their union.

What an honor it was to get asked to capture my brother’s wedding! We have been taking a break from shooting weddings with two littles 1 and under but couldn’t pass up this opportunity to be with and document memories for family. David and Brittany are absolutely fabulous! We love how they enjoy life together, have fun, and love deeply. They are passionate about people, dance, creativity, travel, and the list goes on. It’s a delight to call them friends and family. We are overjoyed to see them get hitched and start a new life together as Mr. & Mrs.
David & Brittany – Thanks for having us capture your beautiful TX wedding. We hope you’re having the most amazing time on your honeymoon in London!! Love y’all tons!

Mary Louise and Ben. These two equal awesome, genuine and loads of fun. What a blast we had getting to document their memorable day. We love how they do so much together…on the track team, mechanical engineers, and a part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes…just to name a few. Ben was quite the charmer in asking Mary Louise’s dad for her hand in marriage by creating a spreadsheet, a pie chart of their compatible qualities, and a bubble diagram weighing their options of getting married in college vs. out of college. He was not messing around! Love it when a guy pursues his girl relentlessly as God intended for our hearts to be pursued. Mary Louise was a stunning gem of a bride and we’re so happy she found her prince. What better setting than their college campus hosting the adorable Ole Miss Chapel to get hitched at. Their sweet family and friends gathered from near and far to witness their commitment to love, serve and honor each other for forever. Tears of joy filled their eyes as they solemnly promised to be faithful to each other. The most beautiful moment ever. Social Butterflies did a stellar job with the details styling the French inspired reception with the perfect touch of Southern flare. It was a wonderful evening as everyone laughed and danced the night away at the darling reception location, The Mill at Plein Air .
Thanks, Mary Louise & Ben, for having us capture your lovely wedding! You two are an incredible couple and we wish you the very best in your marriage!

What a wonderful couple…two of the most generous, loving, and thoughtful people we know and we’re stoked for them to begin the rest of their adventurous lives together! Their wedding day was lovely filled with laughter, tears and joy. Not even the rain could stop them from enjoying every moment with their fabulous friends and family.
